Breaking News: Harvey has bought Aida, an AI-native sales execution platform founded by Glean co-founder Piyush Prahladka and Atish Das Sarma – which will help with developing ontologies so law firms can leverage their knowledge better with AI. It’s their fifth acquisition of 2026, and the latest team to bring enterprise AI expertise to Harvey, they said.
They also noted that Sarma previously led engineering, data science, and growth teams at Patreon, Apple, and X. So, whatever the tech, these are some excellent hires as well.
The co-founders and their team of search and machine learning engineers will join Harvey’s product and engineering organization. Harvey also bought Guardails in September and Benchmark in July.
And it’s worth noting that Harvey is not generally buying ‘traditional legal tech companies’.
Harvey told AL that the acquisition accelerates their product roadmap: ‘Agents are already capable of far more than they do today. What stops them is that they don’t know enough. The Aida team will advance Harvey’s work to help each firm build its own ontology, providing critical context that makes every agent, model, and product the organization uses more effective.’
Harvey CEO Winston Weinberg commented: ‘Legal teams have decades of valuable knowledge locked away in documents and systems that are difficult to search and connect.
‘Unlocking that knowledge securely will fundamentally change how they work. Piyush and Atish have deep expertise in solving this challenge, and their team will help us make Harvey even more powerful for our customers. We’re thrilled to welcome Aida to Harvey.’
