LegalOn Lets 100 AI Workflows Bloom

LegalOn, the contract review specialists, have rolled out a library of 100-plus AI workflows, all available within its platform and aimed at inhouse lawyers.

The lawyer-built collection, branded as Prompt Workflows, covers areas such as compliance, M&A, litigation, IP, corporate governance, legal research, and legal operations; and with every workflow available in US, EU and Singapore variants.

Bari Williams, Head of Legal, LegalOn, commented: ‘Prompt Workflows are crafted by attorneys, structured to get customers closer to a finished work product and designed to get smarter about how their teams work over time.’

And here’s some of the things you can do with the workflows within the platform:

  • ‘Sequence the first 48 hours of a suspected data breach: containment, escalation, evidence preservation, notification assessment and outside counsel coordination.
  • Turn a cease-and-desist letter into a structured response plan: assessment, deadlines, evidence preservation, internal investigation and escalation to outside counsel.
  • Run a worker classification question through the IRS, economic reality and ABC tests in one pass, ending in a decision checklist and misclassification risk flag.’

Workflows can be searched and filtered by practice area or tag to find the right one, then saved and customized to reflect a team’s preferences, matter history and internal standards, ‘turning each into a shared record of how that team actually works, rather than a static prompt that stays generic over time’, they added.

Is this a big deal?

Well, plenty of legal tech companies have developed collections of ‘Skills’, or workflows, AKA a library of complex prompts, for their platforms. It’s a sensible play to make, given what is possible now via tapping model frameworks supplied by the likes of Anthropic, for example – which has let loose a collection of its own skills for lawyers.

Ultimately, what this does is keep you within the bounds of the LegalOn platform. For example, you use LegalOn for some document review and then you need to do other work, e.g. something related to an employment compliance issue – and so now you can find a suitable workflow, run it, and keep everything on the platform. End result: more time spent living within LegalOn.
